Can you put Shellac on toenails?

Can you put Shellac on toenails?

Is a great way to protect the nails during the summer months. However, people who do not use shellac on their toes often worry that they may develop an infection, but it’s actually quite the opposite!

Shellac nail varnish is extremely hygienic and removes the need for a base coat. This means that your toe nails will be protected from fungus, which can cause an infection if allowed to spread. The best part of shellac on toenails is that it comes off after around 3 weeks without any fuss; no soaking required! Simply choose the color of your choice and get a professional to paint on your new shellac nails. Leave for around 10 minutes, give them a quick file and you’re good to go!

Shellac is not only great for the health of your nails, it is also fantastic for the health of your hands. Since shellac takes only minutes to dry; it allows you to get on with whatever you need to do without fear of ruining your nails. You can paint them in the morning and then head off for work or hit the town without having to worry about chipped toenails!

Choose color and design for toe

Choose from designs such as flowers or stripes; whatever suits your style! You can also choose to have glitter added into the mix too. The great thing about glitter is that it has bit of shimmer yet still manages to stay put even with regular movement. Wherever you go this summer, make sure that you take your shellac with you to ensure that your nails are kept in top condition.

How are shellac nails done?

The toenails are filed and shaped before a thin coat of primer is applied. This ensures that the nail plate is free from oils and prepares it for the application of color coats. The first two color coats are applied, each taking about 20 minutes to dry, followed by a top coat which is polished over all 10 nails. The whole process takes about 1 hour in total at your favorite salon. Once your shellac has been cured under an ultra violet lamp you have 2 weeks of chip free wear!

Can you remove shellac at home?

It is not recommended to remove your shellac nails from your toe at home. You should visit a nail salon who specialize in shellac nails so you can be sure to receive the best service possible. You may find many nail salons in your areas which have years of experience with shellacs and are here to help answer any questions that you may have.

Do shellac nails damage your toenails?

No they don’t! All products used on top of your toenails are very flexible so there are no issues of them being brittle or weak! It’s all about correct preparation so it can last longer without chipping or breaking!

Are shellac Pedicure safe?

Yes! Shellac is the best product to use for toenails, especially during summer because it protects them from any damage. We recommend shellacs as they are long-lasting and incredibly easy to remove without damaging your toenails!

Shellac can be used on artificial or natural toe nails?

You can use on both! For those with natural nails we recommend an infill every 2 weeks to stop the shellac lifting. If you have artificial nails then your technician will suggest a suitable length of time before you need to return for infills.

Can I go into sunlight after shellac application?

No you should not go immediately, but once dry there should be no issues at all, even if playing sport etc. Just make sure you avoid soaking in water (for example washing up) for at least 4-5 hours after application.
